 ONLINE ORDERING 

 

» Can I cancel or change my order once it has been placed?

 

  • Once your order has been placed you are not able to change or cancel it online. Please call the store if you think there is an error with your order or if you wish to cancel it completely. If you would like to add to your order and your items have not shipped yet, please call the store and we might be able to combine the orders so you only have one shipping fee. If your order has already shipped, it cannot be canceled. Please see the RETURNS section for further details.

 

 

 

 

 PAYMENT 

 

» What forms of payment can I use?

 

  • Payment for Online Orders: We only except Paypal online at this time. Please call our store for further questions.
  • Payment for Store Pickup: We accept all major credit cards ( Visa, Discover, Mastercard, American Express) Heather's Jewelry Gift Cards, Cash, and Checks with a valid photo ID.

 

» Do you offer financing?

 

  • Yes we do! We offer our Heather's Jewelers Reserve Card by Citi Bank & 6 months interest free financing for qualified customers on items $500 or more. Pop in and see us to pick up an application today! Usually we can let you know if you are approved or not instantly. Please bring your drivers license and another valid form of ID (ex. credit card). You must be 18yrs or older to apply.

 

» Do you offer layaway?

 

  • Yes we offer a 3 month layaway on select in stock items. Just put 30% down on the item the first month and you can pay the rest over the next two months. Once it is paid off, you get to take it home ! Please call the store if you see an item online you would like to put on layaway. We do not offer layaway on custom designs or special orders.

 

 

 

 

 SHIPPING/STORE PICKUP 

 

» How is my order shipped?

 

  • USPS: We ship our packages using USPS PRIORITY. Most items fit in a small flat rate box and is automatically insured for $50. If you require additional insurance or signature upon delivery, please call the store for additional pricing. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged merchandise upon delivery. We will email you a tracking number with your purchase, so please keep track of delivery so someone can be available to pick up your package.  Please also call the store if you require EXPRESS Shipping and we can provide pricing and estimated delivery time.

 

» What if I want to pick up my order in store?

 

  • Store Pickup: Is only offered to CT and MA residents. There is no shipping charge if Store Pickup is selected. Just place your order online, and we will email you when your order is ready to be picked up! Full payment is due when you pick up your item. For security reasons, the person who ordered the merchandise must be the one to pick up the order. Usually Store Pickup orders are complete 2-4 hours from when your order is placed. Your order is held for 3 days unless we contact you otherwise. If you cannot pick up your item(s) during that duration, please call the store to make other arrangements.

 

 

 

 

 RETURNS/EXCHANGES/REFUNDS 

 

» Can I return an item I purchased online?

 

  • Sure not a problem! Returns are allowed 15 days from the purchase date in original condition (unworn and unaltered). Please contact us and we will email you a return form. Original shipping costs are non-refundable and you are responsible for return shipping costs. Items must be returned with the return form, a print out of your receipt, and any packaging or tags associated with the item(s). Returning items must be properly packaged and insured. We cannot refund you if we receive the item damaged. If you are looking to return after 15 days, a store credit can be issued for the original amount on your receipt as long as the item is in it's original condition (unworn and unaltered). If you want to exchange your online order, you must follow the return process. Once we have received and reviewed your return, we will refund your payment and you can order something else online! Any coupons used on your original purchase cannot be re-applied to your exchange.

 

  • Returns & exchanges are not allowed on customized jewelry, engraved items, or special orders. Deposits placed on customized items or special orders are non-refundable. All clearance item sales are final.

» Do you buy back jewelry purchased at your store?

 

  • Unfortunately, we cannot buy back jewelry purchased in our store.

 

 

 

 

 CUSTOM DESIGN/STORE SERVICES 

 

» Can you custom design something for me?

 

  • Of course we can! It's one of our specialties. Whether is it taking stones out of old settings and updating a long loved treasure or creating something entirely new, we are the store for you! Please see our Custom Design section for further information.

 

» What other store services do you offer?

 

  • I'm glad you asked! We offer a variety of repair services from ring sizings, settings, restringing, soldering, prong work, & more! Please see our Repair section for further information.

 

 

 

 

 BUYING GOLD/TRADE INS 

 

» Do you buy gold and diamonds?

 

  • We sure do! We buy gold, silver, and diamonds. Bring your items down so we can take a look and offer you a price. We weigh and test everything right in front of you. If you have a lot of pieces, please call the store to set up an appointment. We can only purchase your items with a valid drivers license and you must be 18yrs or older. If you are happy with the price we offer you, we will write you a check for your items. We can only write a check out to you, not another party, since it is your property you are selling. You can also decide to apply the trade in amount towards merchandise in our store.

 

» How do you know if something is real or fake?

 

  • Gold/Silver: There are many tests for telling if something is gold or silver. When you bring in your items we will look at any makers mark/stamps, as well as perform an acid test on the item(s) also known as "Touchstone" testing. Touchstone testing is based on the fact that 24k gold resists all but the strongest acids. The purer the gold, the stronger the acid required to dissolve it. Measured strengths of nitric acid are used to test for karat purity. We will take the item and scratch lightly in a thin line on the touchstone. We will place a drop of acid on the gold line and depending on the karat, the line will either stay or dissolve. If the line remains, the item is usually gold. If it disappears, it is not.
